This charging cable has a Type 2 plug on one end and an open end on the wallbox side. It can be used in wired charging stations.

Attention: You cannot connect a blue or red CEE plug to this cable and charge it from a high voltage socket. It can only be used in conjunction with a charging station!

The cable has 5 x 6 mm² conductors that allow a current of 3 x 32 A, which corresponds to a charging power of 22 kW. The price difference compared to a weaker 3 x 16 A cable is so small that we think you are better off with this top model. If you switch to a larger electric car or install a more powerful charging infrastructure, you do not have to replace your cable. Of course, you can use this cable for single-phase as well as three-phase charging at 16 or 32 A!

You can select the desired length by specifying the corresponding value in the selection list. Please note that a short cable is often not sufficient if the vehicle is on the opposite side of the charging station.

Why buy a 32A cable if the car only charges 16A?

This question is quickly explained!

Many public charging stations offer a maximum output of 22 kW, which corresponds to 32 A output current. If you use a 20 A cable here, the station may stop charging because the cable does not meet the station's requirements (32 A). Since the station does not know which car is being connected, it is correct that the station stops the process to avoid a cable fire that could occur if a vehicle were to be charged at 32 A using a 20 A cable.
